The Dwight Brown Agency was started
by Dwight Brown Sr. in 1941. In 1966, he purchased O. W.
Tapley Agency in Ellsworth moving those customers into
the Dwight Brown Agency. In 1972, Dwight Brown Jr.
joined the agency. Dwight Brown Sr. retired in 1980 and
Dwight Jr. purchased the agency, and continued providing
general insurance services to the people of Downeast
Maine.
Dwight Brown Jr. retired from the
agency in February of 2008, the agency has transitioned
to an ownership group that

Grindstone Financial Group, LLC. has strengthen its
